External Overview

The RP-SMA female connector can be used to connect an antenna to the Reach. This will allow for a greater range of operation for the Reach device. For optimal range, place the antenna outside of any metal enclosure.

The Mini USB connector is used to connect the Reach to a computer. This is how projects are loaded onto the Reach device using the Reach Loader application.

The terminal block is labeled for ease of use in the field. Power is only provided to the Reach by the V+ and V- connectors, so when using the Reach with a computer, make sure to also connect it to a power supply.

When connecting it in the field, connect the PLC to the RX, TX, and G connectors.

Connectors 6, 7, 8 are currently unused.

Along the side of the device, there is a collection of LEDs. From the left side of the image:

Green - This light is on when the Reach is recieving power.

Yellow - This light will be illuminated if a project is not loaded. If a project has been correctly loaded, this LED will be off.

Blue - This light will be illuminated if a BLE connection is currently active. It will turn off shortly after a user disconnects from the Reach.
